I'll be Waiting
I missed you today
What happened?
Let’s hear it
Are you ok?
Why don’t you answer when I call?
Are you awake?
I’m here
Can you please get on?
Seriously
Don’t worry
I’ve learned some of my biggest lessons
I was awkward and ugly, the ugliest little child
Until this semester
Things are different
Holly
She’s a b****
Never settle for less than you deserve
I know I’m better
Whatever
I miss you
I don’t care what they say
Crying is part of life
I’ve missed you
Can’t wait to see you
Don’t dread it, it’ll be over faster than you know
Childhood isn’t easy, but be nice to yourself
It wasn’t your fault
Can you please respond?
Seriously, stop
All right
I’m driving home
I’m sorry you had such a hard day
I want to help
I love you, still
I’m sorry
Come visit next weekend
I’ll be waiting
You know where to find me
Come street side

This is a found poem I wrote in ninth grade from texts my older sister sent me when I was going through my first heartbreak. I liked the idea of taking something supportive and making it mirror the pain of what I was going through at the time.
