Belonging
The days are dark and gloomy,
Sometimes they’re really hard
People say they like me,
But that’s not their true card
When they lay them down,
It makes me wanna frown,
And cry and shout,
And scream and pout,
But I know;
It will get better,
I’ll make it through;
This stormy weather
People say I’m pretty,
But then they turn around,
And what I hear them say,
Turns my world upside-down
Do they really love me?
Is that the case?
Because sometimes it feels,
Like they are laughing at my face,
This is not my place,
I do not belong
