 A walk in the past

After the thunderstorm I grab my metal detector and walk down the street to the river.

It is the perfect time to find the antique bottles because they shine in the sun.

This is the moment I have been waiting for.

I have been looking for this spot for three weeks and I have finally found it on the dried up rapids that connect to the main river.

when I walked down to my special site I Imagine what it was like back then.

I walk past the wet moosey foundation of a house I can see what it would look like back in the 1800’s.

As I approach my site I hear the birds making their own music.

Then when I turn around the bend to my site And then I see a shiny object stuck in between a rock.

When I got closer I Found out it's a fully intact medicine bottle.

Then when I look to my left I discover a old ink cartridge.

Then I check all the sides to see if there cracked and it turns out all the sides on the bottle are smooth.

Just a thick coating of muck and sand inside the bottle.

After a long day finding relics I head down the river with excitement of how hard I worked for this just to have a piece of history But in my head it’s more than just a piece of history it’s memories. A walk in the past
