she asks me
She asks me to write a poem
About many things
Like learning a new language
Or trying something new
She says something out loud
But her voice is too distant
Or like a person
Looking everywhere for his ears
She wants me to open up
Like a new bloomed flower
Peering down a dark tunnel
But all I do
Is sit here
And think of how to write a poem and write down any words that come out of my head
But my mind’s too blank
To want to learn a new language
She wants me to do it
But my brain disagrees
