Northern Sunset
Northern Michigan
Evening on a lake
As the sun slowly lowers
It feels like the day will never end
Reds, oranges, yellows, and purples dance
A cool breeze blows these colors around
Waves softly crash on the shore
The faint quack of ducks in the distance
The waters calm
As the sun dips into the deep blue
You hear it sizzle in the water
Followed by a symphony of stars and a saphire blue sky
The best part of it all
It happens again tomorrow.
