Since We Broke Apart
Like a river without water
Like a storm, just without wind
Without you, I am nothing
My whole world just feels dim.
An everlasting darkness
A hole inside my heart
My whole world has been crumbling
Since we broke apart.
In your eyes I see emptiness
A change I do not like
Before I saw hope
And love, not spite.
Please, I'll do anything
If I can have you back
But for now I sit here crying
For my heart will not relax.

Contrary to what you may think, I am not actually going through anything traumatic at the moment. I just have a serious passion for writing poetry about breakups. I'm sure someone will be able to relate. :)
