Between

He persued the inside instead of the outside.

He persued the shadows that the light brought.

He persued neither visible, nor the invisible,

But that which hid in plain sight.

He persued flying rather than running,

And falling rather than flying.

He persued the unkown,

Because knowing hurt too much.

He persued the color blue.

He persued quick days and aching nights.

He persued the calm between waves of grief.

He persued chains because the sheets were too soft.

He persued coffee without creamer.

He persued long walks on tightropes.

He persued strong arms rather than soft lips.

He persued the end,

Not the beginning.

He pursued the difference between opinions.

He persued the beat of the music-

Not the money from the crowd.

He persued the calm of the night air.

He persued Him.

They persued the between.

This poem is a little passage into a seemingly very interesting story. It is both mysterious, and somewhat obvious all at once.
