Two Faced
Soft edges, alluring curves,
Delicate face, sparkling eyes.
She was not just another pretty girl,
She was the special kind of beautiful
She made everything look dull in her presence.
She left a stunned wake of awestruck,
Gaping faces in her footsteps
But under the perfect face was the twisted, rotten soul.
The lying words and fake smiles
The deceiving, glimmering eyes.
She left the electric sting that traveled through your veins
She left the brokenness in your heart,
So broken you can’t imagine how your heart still pumps.
She left the type of sickness that ate away your raw soul,
Stopping and waiting for nothing
No pity, no remorse, no nothing
She left a stunned wake of defeated.
Breaking people in order to mend herself.
Though, after all the broken people,
She never quite succeeded in fixing herself.
Maybe some can never mend entirely.
