A Different Kind Of Rainbow

It starts with a gut twisting
Whoosh!
Of all your worlds in motion
Followed by a heartstopping
Tink!
As they eskimo kiss
Then an earth shattering
Crack!
As they collide
Creating a different kind of rainbow
For our fragile eyes.

Reverberating voices stuck in your mind
voicing all your thoughts on being left behind.
A plethora of ignorant people
living such fake lives
not knowing or caring
about the fact
that Barbie looks more real
than their plastic outsides.
Imaginary friends
making you cry
just because
they’re the only ones
who know
what’s really going on inside.
Neglection
perfection
miscommunication
addiction
complete non fiction
misunderstanding and maltreatment
yet the only one
who understands
is you.
Black and blue paint
All over your face
Obscuring all the recognizable
Features of your face
Except for the mouth
the mouth that says
It’s just paint.
Over the neighbor's lawn
and down the street
far away from home
to a place unknown
Never to be seen again.
Withering heart
Little left to mend
No room for amends
Lost promises
Found broken in the end
Like a pot of gold
At the end
of a different kind of rainbow
The rainbow everyone knows and loves.
