Darkness Doesn't Cry
Dawn showed faintly in the East,
A sliver of hope among much grief.
Light with the power to heal,
He helps those whose hope you steal.
The moon rose slowly above the mountains,
Floating behind my lovely curtains.
Swimming in the clear dark night,
Your child showers the lands in her soft light.
Rain fell from the cloud,
Laughing so very loud.
Rivers flowing from the stars,
He unveils hidden scars.
Dawn has wronged you,
Moon belongs to you,
And Rain taunts your name.
Forget them,
Remember them,
Let your tears dry.
Because, my dear,
Darkness doesn’t cry.
