I'm Sorry
I apologize to my pillow,
For all the tears I’ve shed on it.
I apologize to my bed sheets,
For how blood stained they are.
I apologize to my skin,
For how scarred I’ve made it.
But most of all,
I apologize to my heart,
From not being able to protect it from getting so broken.
I’m truly sorry to the people I’ve ever hurt,
To every tear that has dropped,
That I could not wipe away.
To every life that has been taken away,
That I couldn’t persuade to make continue.
I am so sorry,
That the world is so hateful,
So full of pain.
But I can at least try,
To make a smile appear,
To make a laugh continue,
To make a heart not so broken anymore.
I can say “I tried”
But in the end I’ll always say
“I’m sorry”.
