My world awakening with a new start

Warm sun covering me like a blanket
Warm breezes like gold on my skin
Morning dew fresh and moist
Longer days make me happy

Flowers emerge stretching to the sun
Bursts of color replace grays
Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths
Greens, yellows, pinks and blues
Sweet sweet smells like perfume

Birds singing songs to dance to
Furry critters play
Butterflies flutter by like kisses
Ducklings trail their mommies
Brand new life all around

Fresh smell of the rain
Replacing winter coats with rainboots and raincoats
Children splash in puddles and laugh and play
Carrying pretty umbrellas
Dancing in the rain to a fresh new beat

A fresh new beginning
Time for change
Time for reflection
Time for planning
Most importantly, almost time for summer!
