In-Depth
Everyday i wake up
To excessive knocking
The brakes of the bus loudly
Braking and my all natural
I-don’t-want-to-be-here-face.
Everyday i walk the halls
Eager to get to each class.
Hoping that time is also in a rush.
In my last class, my eyes
Glued to the clock, waiting for
Three magic numbers.
Along with the comforting sound
Of the bell. That’s when i appreciate
It the most.
Finally making my way outside
I begin to adore the bright yellow
Color of the buses.
Excited to sit at my usual spot
Seat #1.
As i’m sitting, i know what is expected
A long bumpy journey.
I place my headphones on my ears
To get a taste of what paradise is like
Before i reach it.
30 minutes pass, i reach my destination
Finally reaching paradise,I smile.
