Stuck in a loop
Wandering around in an un-ending path
No way out
No way in
All alone
Going around in circles
Looking for escape
Looking for someone
Anyone
Each way you turn is a dead end
Leading you back to the beginning
Making you wish you could disappear
To leave this un-ending nightmare
Stuck in a loop
A loop of endless depression
Endless loneliness
Endless emptiness
Without interaction
Without friendship
We become lost
Broken
Unwanted
We want to be loved
We strive to be good enough
But no matter what we do
We will never be

This piece reflects what depression can feel like. Depression can feel confinded and that there's no hope of escape. When writing this piece I wanted to stress how someone feels when they feel like escape is impossible, they wish to escape but something is holding them back. I hope that people will understand that depression isn't just a phase but an actual issue that many teens and adults struggle with daily.
