From a distance I caught sight of a wonderful smile
Vested to a glorious woman who starred at me a while
At that moment I was hooked
A burning passion that couldn't be shook
I knew I only had one chance
No time for my usual dance
Nothing would stop me from saying hello
Not even some stupid fellow
I had no choice and I hope nothing tears
As I pushed him down a flight of stairs
The guilt passed quick
As I tried to come up with something slick
Next thing I know she's right in front of me, I open my mouth, not a thing comes out but a choked whimper
I encouraged myself to try and say something cause I know I'll miss her.
But nothing
Absolutely nothing
Sadness hit, admiring her from afar
She'll never want you, not how you are
She was to independent and strong for a hand
Nothing I could ever say would land.
But all it took was a slip
Just a little trip
“You alright” was all I could say
But that's all it took for her to stay
That smile
That wonderful smile spread across her face
We began to walk together at a slow pace
Talking
Just talking
And that's how it all began
Now jealous of every man
Who gets to see that
Wonderful smile
