Masked
Blood on the wall
wondering how did I get here,
no joy all fear,
like something is chasing me
and it’s finally near.
I’m the captain of my ship and I’m stuck in the middle of the ocean
because I forgot how to steer.
Instead of being lost at sea,
I’m lost at home
and don’t know who or what to be.
People talk about truth like they know what it means,
people talk about the youth like they know what we bring.
They get into people’s minds to make to make them all sing,
chanting and praising
make you believe that they are amazing
have you drooling and gazing.
But snap back to essence
and you can feel the depressense
and think maybe these are just lies
and this truth is just a disguise.
They mask themselves so you can’t see their eyes.
Because that is the alleyway to the heart.
