Grandma's Love
The pain that swept my life away
in a bundle of
hate,
and fear.
It swept away any laughter, fun, and peace
I had left in me.
The day that my parents
didn’t come home,
didn’t return,
didn’t say I love you.
I was
alone,
hopeless,
fearful
about what was coming next.
My life was ruined.
Until
life brought a bundle of
love,
hope,
peace,
and inspiration.
My grandma was my
silver lining.
She was willing to
care for me,
keep me as her own,
make room in her heart for me.
She was the cup that filled my heart with
inspiration
of a new life, of a new me.
There is only two words for
Grandma.
Thank You.
