He was the lightning
I was the dying grass he struck
And when we collided, a fire began between us

He was the syrupy temptation
Drizzling in my mind
Overflowing onto my body

We were the two ends of a burning bridge
The flames carrying our ashes
And the smoke guiding us towards one another

When we collided, a fire began between us
Burning everything around us
But fuling our love

When we spoke soft words
The world would illuminate for the both of us
And create a dazzling array of sparks

There was a foggy sight of our future
While our tongues danced together
Intertwined under the moonlight

When we made us, it was enough
When we ran through fields with bloody knees I was happy
When we were together, he was the lightning striking my body.

This is one of my favorite pieces I have created in my time here. The boy this is for is very dear to me, no matter if we last or not. He was friend before lover, and for that I am eternally grateful. This means a lot to me.
