to build something out of nothing

May 20, 2016

with closed eyes and clenched lids

all wet words feel like sonnets;

invincible girls hold

moths in their mouths, drape silver cloth

over untounched faces and freckled cheekbones.

we never knew what to

say

over the hum of summer and rush of river,

it's easy to find devotion in declaration.

love is clever, and so were

we

build churches and hearths in gentle breaths.

there isn't any harm in caressing hollow hearts

tonight.

I don't know where I'm going, but I know I'm going somewhere beautiful.

This is incredible! I stumbled across your page and I have to say, you're a phenomenal writer. And we are a lot alike; you remind me of me haha. Thank you for posting these, as they're all amazing. :)
