Forgiveness?
Giving someone forgiveness once is not too hard.
Everybody makes mistakes,
even though you always end up scarred.
Apologies are accepted,
and everything is fine.
Until the next time that your tested.
Your conscience escapes,
and all those red flags fade away.
That is when my trust begins to break.
Forgiveness twice is just not likely.
I’m not falling for that again,
you must not think i’ll take this lightly.
You said you’ll never do it again.
That is a lie,
to which I contend.
Remember that I will never forget this.
Before you go down this road again,
stop, think, and reminisce.
I hope you’ve learned your lesson.
That you remind yourself of this,
and don’t leave them, like me, in question.
