Good Things Gone Bad

Sandwiched in the middle waiting to be eaten, I saw them both. Standing there staring me dead in the eyes.
I don't know why I try because no matter what I just tell them lies.
How did I get so caught up in it?
How could I have been such a fool?
I should've known that nothing lasts forever,
Even if I wasn't being so clever.
And now that time has passed they've both been forgotten,
But it's made are relationships forever rotten.
