The Blue Dog
We’ve all seen him
The stereotypical hound
Laying on the porch
Just lounging around.
Why is he so bummed?
What’s got him glum?
Maybe he lost his favorite toy
Or his owner forgot to tell him
That he’s a good boy.
It’s okay, little buddy.
I know life may seem a little muddy.
But your owner will be home soon
And he’s got a surprise for you
A new puppy friend
With whom your days you can now spend.

I wrote this in my Creative Writing class for a prompt. We were supposed to title it a color and the last animal you'd seen.
