Fun?
Looking in the distance, slightly hearing the crowd cheering. You smile hoping for
the best, you’re in front of nearly 100 people, including your family. “Miss
A, can you spell and explain the word ‘Fun’”. You’re frozen, you’re crowd
that cheers for you, suddenly goes quiet. Thinking to yourself, “what is fu-” “Miss
A, can you please spell and explain the word ‘Fun’”. You spell it correctly
in your head, but you think harder. “F-A-M-I-L-Y”. “Sorry Miss A, you
are incorrect”.
To me, Family is the way to fun, without them life would be boring, plain.
Growing up with my “twin cousin” we went on fun adventures. Once we found a
bulldozer with the key in the ignition, and my cousin drove. Not an everyday
finding or ordinary fun, but life is filled with adventure and surprises. Life is a
once in a lifetime, you only get it once. Use it wisely. Us ‘teenagers” keep in
contact with our family on social media. We don’t see them in person anymore, but
we call, text, and video chat. Is it as real as it seems? No. Now here’s a question; if
you have time to text, call, and video chat, why don’t we have time to plan a week
to visit that special family of ours? These people called family love us
unconditionally, they watched you grow up. Give back them the love they once
gave us. When we were young and had a huge heart for every single one of those
family members. For example, My grandmother had
quadruple bypass heart surgery, and now she is healthier than ever been and still
wants to give to others. She wants our family to be together happy and healthy. We
secretly love each other but just show it by arguing over stupid stuff like poptarts
(true story). Appreciate of what you have right now and in the past. Not everyone
has parents, grandparent, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings or whatever, embrace that love.
