It feels like you're trapped

In a ring a fire.

Although it's harmful,

It's a crave you desire.

You wanna quit and you say you will.

But thay only call you a liar.

So pay attention on

What I'm about to inquire.

It's the burning sensation

Running through your body.

Ans it eats up your money.

You're not understanding

of who you wanna be.

But it takes you to a dark place,

and you think,'Who really wants me?'

We are healthy but destroying our bodies,

While kids these days have distortions.

We only think of ourselves like

How mothers give into abortions.

We give out little love and

We give it out in small portions.

We aren't in control of

Ourselves and our emotions.

I'm telling you facts,

I ain't trying to be hasty.

I know some aren't pround

And some may hate me.

But it had ruiened my life.

And it affected my safety.

But now I'm healed and got help,

So, I hope this'll help you, maybe.

The author's comments:

I have suffered from Anorexia and Depression. Both were a bad addiction. Self-harming was my real addiction and that's something I have to live with for the rest of my life. But I got help and got better. I wrote this to explain how addictions affect peoples lives and know that you can get help too.
