Sand Through an Hour Glass
As the years go by,
We are growing older.
Gaining intelligence,
Becoming wiser while
We wander along.
Our age increases,
As the time restarts.
Now twelve o’clock and
Back to one.
Age is just a number,
But one that is controlling.
Controlling anything that you do.
Controlling your movements,
Controlling your moments,
Controlling your ideas.
Senior like they say, as in sixty plus.
Not a senior like you once were,
Young and wild but
Now being able to live comfortably.
As you get older you gain respect.
You gain forgetting things
And forget gaining things.
You learn something new
Each day.
Throughout your whole life.
Age increases and
Height decreases.
Getting shorter like a sub sandwich as it is getting devoured.
Being so rich you could buy
the world.
Not money rich but
Rich with memories,
Rich with happiness.
