I watched as you walked down the halls
Your head hanging low
Eyes latched to the laces of your converse
Tears brimming in your eyes
I remember what that was like
Hell, i still do
When you feel trapped in your own life
In your own skin
There’s no escaping it
And that is so terrifying
When you know
That your biggest fear
Is yourself
