You Were My Rainbow
Your heart was pure gold.
You face lit up as you smiled,
And your personality radiated
like ultramarine waves.
When I would look into your dark bronzed eyes,
They glistened. They had an eternal happiness
That illuminated and could never be diminished.
When the darkness came and took you away,
The sparkle was gone.
Every thing became dim;
It all turned to black and white.
My color was lost.
The vibrancy in everything disappeared.
There is no such thing as a rainbow anymore.
