Epitaph-Gabrielle Holivay
Life for me is difficult
People judge me before seeing my face
They think the worst of me
And expect the least
I try to defy their reasoning
But it has been difficult so far
Brothers and sisters being killed
No justice given for their death
And I am complaining that I am not noticed
All because of my race, the color of my skin
Removing this hatred will be hard work
There is probably no chance it will happen
This feeling is rooted deeply rooted in their generations
Only the millennials will be able to repair the damage
If not repair, then build a bridge
One that will connect us despite our differences
