Love is...
Love is joy.
It’s waking up to my best friend
Sleeping right next to me,
Or seeing a message from him on your phone.
Seeing him walking towards you
And getting that butterfly feeling in my stomach.
Love is smiles.
Smiling in pictures that become memories
I hold on to forever.
Smiling when you hold their hand.
Or when you randomly start to think just
How lucky you are to have them in your life.
Love is stability.
Knowing that person is there for you
No matter what.
Leaning on them when you don’t have enough
Strength to push on.
Having someone to always hold your hand.
Love is timeless.
This is a feeling that will never
Have an expiration date.
It will be brought up in stories we tell our
Children.
In life lessons we teach to our daughters.
Love is exciting.
Excitement that this may be the person you marry.
This could be the person you spend the rest of your
life with.
Not knowing where your adventure with each other
Will go, but hoping it never ends.
But Love can be scary.
We do not ever have the ability to know what
Someone is truly thinking.
All we can go off of is what they tell us.
We only find out what they want us to know.
This is terrifying.
Love can be unknown.
You could spend countless hours putting your heart
And Soul into someone that leaves you.
Or you fall in love with the boy
That holds open doors for you,
But leave behind a boy that left his own marks on you.
Love is frustrating.
You spend so much time on one person
And they may never truly love you back.
You lay awake and 1am thinking, what did I do wrong.
Why did they push me away?
I still love them.
Love is hateful.
One day it is full of love yous and hugs
And you’ll wake up the next day to nothing.
Change.
Feelings change, emotions change.
Sadly nothing is set in stone.
Love is dangerous.
The fact that you are putting all of your heart and
Soul into one person.
Not knowing what will happen.
Just knowing that anything could change at any time.
Love is dangerous.
