Time Lost
Some things are better left unsaid
the demons playing inside my head
they titter with mockery and laughter
I wished for the knowledge of what they were after
there is no right or wrong in thought
only what should be and should not
the demons morph into the faces around
I know that they can no longer be bound
a facade of kindness a heart of black
once innocence is lost it never comes back
but the one girl who threw out a name
could not have been more petty nor vain
she cared not for feelings lost
nor for any of its cost
lightning strikes and rain pours down
I jump and cower to the ground
though clouds move on with time
and so will I.
