same old broken
she was the something,
after everything,
that I could still hold on to.
but her pale eyes were cursed and
frosted over. she would draw circles
in her palms, as her mind
spun all around. the faint freckles
on her cheeks could be
constellations. but the stars
in her starry night faded
all the same. same old
broken.
