Shattered Light
Those touched by shadows and death,
comes with the tragic.
Plagued by thoughts,
Something dark spreads.
Creating monsters,
Liars, and promise breakers.
Why was fate punishing?
Leaving me in the dark,
seeking light.
Hope, a forbidden tomb,
But now I know your secret.
A broken heart in disguise,
A lonely seeker,
A deceitful face,
A fabricated demeanor,
using cries as a way of gaining consolation
in a heartbroken home.
A cry of help heard,
But ignored
A false laugh heard,
But looked over.
Something shifts.
Thoughts drifting away.
As it all fades,
a part is left behind,
for you to keep.
Let it live and die.
The ending and the beginning.
