Arthritis.
There's an orchestra between my bones,
that let out gasps, cracks, pops, and moans.
There's jail cell bars around my spine,
as my body crosses over into enemy lines.
There's a diganosis of autoimmune disease,
so my body believes, that it is it's own worst enemy.
There's a poisonous substance inside my veins,
chaos inside my body, and my brain.
There's a numbing ache inside my knees,
and suddenly everyone has a medical degree.
There's another inspirational quote, a misinformed article,
a backhanded comment kept in their arsenal.
There's a cracked foundation, that has hit golden age
despite their disbelief and my wrinkleless face.
There's a disease that has made me a casualty,
slowly rusted my anatomy, and robbed my sanity.
There's little orange bottles all over the bathroom counter,
shackled to the pharmacuticals that have all the power.
There's a parasite that has caused identity theft,
but that's my voice begging for help while getting dressed.
