Love is What?

I knew a man,
Who explained love to me.
“Love?”, he said
“Love my dear,
Means sacrifice”
These words of wisdom
Caught me off guard.
That’s all that’s to it?
That can’t be true!
I thought long and hard,
Day and night,
Year after year,
Until I got it right.
That year I found you,
And the words were true:
“Love my dear,
Means sacrifice”
