The Winds of Un-Change
It’s the same thing
every morning:
we awaken our minds
and put to rest
our dreams.
It’s the same story
every day:
we try to find motivation to live
to breathe,
and we shove aside
our suicidal thoughts.
It’s the same routine
every night:
we prepare for our dreams to return
and for our motivation to leak out,
while the dreams line up
to show themselves
once again.
It’s the same process
every time we sleep:
the thoughts from our day
flow out of our consciousness
into the dark abyss of the night,
and scatter,
only to come together
once again
in a different order,
in the form
of dreams.
