Monday Mornings
Mondays are always hard
I fall out of bed
wishing I could stay
I stumble through life
Hit my toes on the edges
of tables and
me being me
slip down , crash, crumple
Nothing goes right
Soon I'll burn down the house
when I make tea
bleed to death
when I cut an apple,
maybe I'll even get
caught in a lightning storm
A hurricane, a blizzard
A tsunami
although
I don't even
live near the ocean
Then I see your face
Smile-
a ray of sunshine
is that the orchestra?
and I swear
it stopped raining outside
it's cheesy but
you make me feel like
a double cheese pizza
the frumage in my 'omelette du frumage'
I see you
amd it's like back when
my parents got the color TV
in the era of just black and white
in fact you make my life HD
like
the first time
I saw through
glasses
and everything was clearer...
and I'm ranting now
but do you see?
You make even
Monday mornings
seem like a good thing...
