Heavy
It feels heavy under my rib cage but empty
stomach feels twisted into knots
fingertips feel painfully numb to my elbows
eyelashes sticky from sea tears and the arches of my feet feel like bridges a feathers weight from crumpling
The idea of tomorrow overwhelms me
I make the fake laughs my mom hates and smile
I talk a lot to fill the silence because to me it's the scariest of sounds
I inhale deeply trying making up for the breaths I've held
I count the seconds 60 the minutes to hours
soon enough the day will be over I will able to return to my bed
Tightly wrapped the white comforter around me until I float away to much needed break from reality
