Disconnected
The state of being numb
Does it simply represent the lack of pain
Or accentuate that ‘ignorance is bliss’
How is it categorized?
You still undergo pain
But your brain just doesn’t integrate
In that moment, if you can’t understand pain
Can you understand any emotion?
Love? Happiness? Pity? Despair?
So, how lovely would that constant numbness be?
That disconnect from the world
The shield against emotions
Living
But being distant from problems
So, numbness….
Must truly be bliss
