The Split

I heard the faint knock on my door,
I saw the tears on my mother’s sad face.
You guys split apart,
I was so bewildered,
Like a dog in a lonely cage.
a chilly afternoon,
clouds covering the bright moon,
I was about to rage.
While staring at the eerie night sky
I was a pet finding my way around my new life.
My ceiling was staring back at me,
there was no light,
that I could see.
A divorce may seem easy,
but not all tests are as they seem.
