Abandoned Boat

Once it was pristine
flamboyantly floating
with the wakes of the water
awaiting the fine fisherman
As days went by
it baked in the blistering sun
time taking its terrible toll
while awaiting the fisherman
Years go by without a sign
an abandoned beauty
now a tortured teal color
with a hopeful horn echoing through the dark
