Stars And Skies
You sit on the tent edge
  Looking up to the sky
  You see many things
Look to your left you see stars
Look to your center you see stars
Look to your right and you see stars
  Many stars, many types
  You see the big dipper
  Sitting in the sky
  Leo, looking down upon you
  With his lion eyes
  Cygnus the magnificent bird
  Floating above your head
  You see the stars
But other senses come to your attention
You hear crunches of something you don’t know
You hear the rustle of the dead browned leaves
As they float with the gentle breeze
  You hear the canyon breathe
  In out, in out
  In out
This and now your smell comes in
You smell the dead branches as the run past you
  You smell the fresh water
Which sits calmly and gently flowing at your side
  You smell the morning's breakfast
As the camp leaders prepare for the coming day

But there is one last sense
  You feel the might
The power of being in the canyon
You feel the earnings of your walk down
You feel the accomplishment that you are in it
  In it
  In the Grand Canyon
