Voices MAG
My voice is the size of a galaxy
  Misted with stardust
Ageless with the time it’s traveled
  The words I didn’t say
caught by the webs weaved by my uncertainty
Why, in a country that swears of freedom
do I choose to stay silent?
  Our voices have existed
  long before we came here
  And trail the earth
after we have left it because
there are too many words to say in a lifetime
and too many that don’t have voices to speak them
Will I be the one to let my words hang unsaid?
Will I be the one to deny to others
the knowledge that I have existed
  long before I was born?
  Unspoken words mean nothing
Your country, your world, your people
are not denying you the right to breathe air through your lips
  Only you do
I must show others that I have existed
That I have given them something to share
My voice is the size of a galaxy
  Misted with stardust
Ageless with the time it travels
The words I have chosen to say.
