Dreaming of Motivation
Failure
Is that all they have to say?
Can’t there be a better way
Failure
They make me feel unwanted
In a way I’ve never felt before
I thought they would support me
But those thoughts were thrown out the door
Failure
I wonder if there’s a way out
But I have no doubt
Failure
No comprehension of what I strive for
Everything I’ve worked for
Crumbled to pieces on the floor where I kneel
Praying for something that can lift me of this spirit
I prevail
The feeling of ultimate purity
From within it’s a mental security
I prevail
Every single voice commanding and jeering
Wipes away with this one single feeling
Every sharp jab in my side
Has healed right before my eyes
By now I realize that I didn’t need their faith
Their negativities gave me no space
I was suffocating in my own domain
They’ll never fully appreciate my art
Never sparing of the pitiful parts
I proved myself in ways that they don’t see
But don’t believe me
I just prevail while others are set to sail
