Coffee
I don't like coffee. There was this quote I found once It went: "People are so easily read.
We bleed emotions even in the way we drink our coffee.
No one seems to notice though.
They are all too busy drinking their own damn coffee."
I don't like coffee.
It took me awhile but once I stopped drinking that damn coffee,
once I stopped worrying about my own sadness.
I could see that no one was really happy with themselves.
And If you say you are, you're lying.
At some point you weren't happy with who you were.
Most of us during our high school years want to just find out who we are.
But life isn't about running around trying finding yourself,
it's about creating yourself on what you were born with.
It's about being who you are.
Not pretending.
Not Hiding.
I don't like coffee.
We as human beings on this earth should feel a need to explore,
experience,
expand our world.
See what it's like to live under a rock,
swim up a creek,
dig a really deep hole and lose the shovel.
Set off fireworks,
see someone's eyes sparkle with laughter,
to look up at night on the roof of your house at the moon
and wonder even though NASA says no,
if someone, something is looking back at you with the same wonder you are staring off into space with.
I don't like coffee.
It makes my heart race.
Makes my hands jittery.
The buddhists say if you meet someone and
your heart pounds,
your hands shake,
your knees go weak
that's not the one.
When you meet your 'soulmate' you'll feel calm.
No anxiety.
No agitation."
I don't like coffee.
I like to feel.
I like to watch.
I want to bleed emotions.
I want to make other people bleed too.
I want to feel the wind of open car windows in summer and smile.
I want to lay in the grass and laugh with my friends.
I want to cry when I'm sad or hurt.
I don't want to live forever.
But I don't want to die drinking that damn coffee.
I don't like coffee.
