You, Me, and Society
Six whole years we had together.
Me and you against the world.
Treading through whatever weather
We had to in order to survive.
In order to thrive .
We had to show them that we were different.
Me and you, you and me,
As our aspirations slowly sank into the sea.
We weren't being ourselves
But a mere reflection of what society wanted us to be.
We werent being you and me
We were puppets of society,
But none of that mattered becuase it was you and me,
Trapped in the mold of society.
It was you and me.
Until, along with our hopes and dreams,
You sank into the sea,
And it was over,
Our message, our invincibility,
You and me,
Divided for eternity
by the brutal waves of the deep blue sea
