My new home
Family grinning at the table
Games and fun every night
The safe haven in times of trouble
This is my home of steel
A brick building of knowledge
A new place to explore
A place to make friends
But with friends comes enemies
They pull my puppet strings
I’ve learned nothing but fear
Returning would be suicide
But choices can’t be made
A sharp smoothness pressed against my neck
They say it’s a game, that no one gets hurt
But truths can’t live forever
I think this is my new home
