The constant bullying of one another.
All over something so tedious.
One versus another.
Sister vs brother.
Brother vs Brother.
How many wars must we go through?
We went through so many
Over the same damn thing

Just accept people the way they are.
Does it really matter how they look?
What about if one has a mental disability?
Look at your neighbor.
Look at his or her kids.
How many look different?
How many look the same?
Do you knock them down just because “they don’t act the same”?
What about “They aren’t right in the head”?

I’m not saying that some people shouldn’t be locked up.
But most of the time

They aren’t “crazy”.
Those “psych-wards” are nothing but a prison.
Constantly under lock and key.
Those in prison would say the same thing.
How many people would you say have a mental disability?
2?
10?
100?

Do you see them going around doing mass school shootings?
If you can't see them doing it
Don’t judge them.
I know it’s human nature.
I know it’s hard.
But think about how that person feels.
Would he or she like to be talked about like that?

I’m no Gondi.
Nor am I a Martin Luther king.
All I am
A single freshman female student.
That’s been bullied my whole life.

The author's comments:

I have been bullied all of my life. No matter how times I tried to tell them to stop, they just never did.
