It's been a year now daddy,
Did you know that?
Memaw and pepaw send me letters,
Why don't you send any?
I really miss you daddy,
Where are you?
Its been four years now dad,
Do you know that?
I don't get anymore letters,
Did they forget about me?
I miss you dad,
Where are you?
Its been seven years now,
Why don't you care?
I know what you've done,
Don't you love me anymore?
I hate you,
I know where you are now.

This year will be eight years since I have seen my biological father. My mother received full custody of me when I was in the fifth grade because he was arrested for drugs. Had the opportunity to fight for me but drugs were more important to him then me. This is basically how I felt and what I thought growing up.
