The Transition of a Female into a Queen
We paint with our minds
And when we write
Words are formed through our mystical powers
Sewing paragraphs from thin air
Breathing life into what we do
A gift our divinity bestowed upon us at birth
In our eyes
Colors dance without end
Twirling
Jumping
Kicking
There are no bounds
Precision
And flowing passion
Is our foundation
That otherwordly peace and joy
Is what drives us to be powerful in our gentle zest
If you look closer
Your eyes can pick up the gray hairs
And hardened looks that seep through without any conscience thought to it
Creativity didn't come without tears
Healing preceded pain
These women
Along with me
Have been pushed
Scratched
And even scratched by the world
They've been trampled on
Abandoned by many
Left to suffer indefinitely
Many of these women became bitter
We were ready to tear apart the universe
Then throw the shreds into the fire
Even if we didn't
We threw some relationships
And some pretty thick chunks of ourselves
Into the consuming flames
Then
One day
Through a telecast
Friends
Family
Or just a boy who was their at the right time
Made us shift completely
Turn a 720 degree
Coming back to reality
We no longer wanted to charge at the red taro
One by one
We walked away from the trap
Escaped the trap
Conquering our enemies
All in the nick of time
As his daughters
God gave us a message uniquely for us
"My daughters," he says, "you were not made to be bitter
Brittle and hard
Never miserable by choice
Ready to demolish all that is in your path
You were made to build
And build up
Yourselves
And your male counterparts
I made you soft for a reason
The level of beauty
Compassion
Exotic sensuality
And queen stature
Required you to be made into what you are now
Do not believe for a minute
That being resentful will make you stronger
That misery is your path
Nor that love is a fairytale
Because I made salvation come true
And I only give new beginnings.
The world does bring painful middles
But hold onto me
Escpecially when it feels near impossible
And I will sustain you
And bring you over into everlasting trainquility."
So those who were brave enough to let go
And take his hand
We all became innocent little girls again
The suffering didn't define us anymore
Grief wasn't our master
We could all look back at our pasts and not be ashamed
And forward with energy
We became lighter on our feet
Smiled more often
Danced as if we had trained our entire lives
The lines disappeared
Our glow became more prominent against a dark world
These women
They're survivors
Who thrived
And kept going
Therefore
They were able to take the chance
To live as they should
Quiet strength
Loud testimonies
