Plague
You have caught the plague,
this teenage phase.
This sickness that we can't speak of,
these emotions that don't matter.
It's just hormones, they say;
irrationality and invalidity, they whisper.
You nod and try to escape,
but your mind is not a maze.
It's a wonderful theater in disguise,
where you watch your ego scream.
But there are no emergency exits,
only flickering movies with endings that don't satisfy.
